In the Under 3s room we have continued to have another wonderful term and started off the term by celebrating Bonfire night! For bonfire night we created our own pretend bonfire using sticks, scarfs and light up blocks. We also created some fantastic firework pictures using cotton buds and stamps. At nursery we also invited parents to our bonfire special, where we shared jacket potatoes with our families and friends and got stuck into lots of bonfire crafts. We created chocolate finger sparklers, and painted lots of firework pictures. It was lovely to see all our families having so much fun at nursery and meeting their children’s friends and families too.
To celebrate Diwali we created some beautiful sparkly pictures. We used gold and silver paints and stamps to make some fabulous patterns. The children also loved to use the cotton buds to make their own patterns.
This term we focused our learning all about animals! We learnt lots of animal related songs and have been working so hard to learn how to sign each animal! The children loved practicing the animals sounds, there favourite was the lions loud roar. We enjoyed Old MacDonald and the children were very interested in making a tractor and took it in turns to be the driver!
To celebrate Christmas at nursery the children took part in lots of wonderful Christmas crafts, they enjoyed Christmas tree printing, bauble posting, making Christmas cards and decorations and lots more. They children showed lots of interest in our Christmas home corner and got very busy making their friends lots of delicious food. We also sang lots of Christmas songs and played along with our musical instruments.
We have has a wonderful Autumn 2 and we are so proud of everything each child has achieved, we cant wait to see all their progress in Spring 1.
