Autumn 2 in the Under 3's Room

We have continued to have an amazing term in the baby room! We started the term with our bonfire night special, we shared jacket potatoes with our families and friends and got stuck into lots of bonfire crafts. We created chocolate finger sparklers, and painted lots of firework pictures. We have continued to develop this learning in the Under 3s rooms where we made our own bonfire pictures and also created lots more firework pictures. The children loved adding glitter to their pictures to see them sparkle.  

In the baby room we celebrated Diwali by creating some beautiful sparkly pictures. We used gold and silver paints and stamps to make some fabulous patterns. The children also loved to use the cotton buds to make their own patterns. We also enjoyed making the room really dark and exploring with lots of our light up toys.  

We have loved exploring all our winter activities. We have enjoyed gluing and sticking to create some wonderful winter wonderland pictures. We also created a winter small world filled with wooden people and arctic animals, developing our role play and pretend play skills. In the yellow room we have been enjoying celebrating Christmas! The children enjoyed learning all of our Christmas songs and loved playing the musical instruments along to them. We also had lots of Christmas parties, where we did lots of dancing and singing. We have also been making Christmas trees with the playdough and counted as we decorated them with baubles. We also enjoyed making reindeer food which the children took home for Christmas.
