The Past and the Future

Grace Owen was an Early Years Teacher who won the OBE for services to young children.
When Park Hill was being built in the sixties, she gave £10,000 to establish a Nursery School.
Grace Owen Nursery School eventually opened when Grace Owen was 92 years old.
The first headteacher was Miss Cole of Cole Brothers (now John Lewis).
The school has been part of a thriving community that has seen many changes.

The Future.
We are now embarking on the next phase of the journey with the development of Park Hill by Urban Splash.
Phase 1 is due to start early in 2008 and will include the new Grace Owen Nursery School.
Consultations continue between Splash and Grace Owen and the plans show a very exciting and spacious new school.
The move to the new premises is planned to happen in 2-3 years time and, in the meantime, we will continue to operate from our current site.
